Request Action:

Pass a Resolution agreeing to voluntarily adopt the Southeast Florida Climate Action Pledge to jointly advance strategic climate adaptation and mitigation planning, programs, policies and projects on a voluntary basis.

 

Need:

To voluntarily adopt a pledge to promote strategic climate adaptation and mitigation efforts in the region.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

Mayor Ken Thurston has requested a Resolution to voluntarily adopt the Southeast Florida Climate Action Pledge to jointly advance strategic climate adaptation and mitigation planning, programs, policies and projects on a voluntary basis.This is in line with the Regional Climate Action Plan (RCAP) 3.0.
