A RESOLUTION IS REQUIRED FROM THE CITY COMMISSION TO AUTHORIZE A CHANGE ORDER TO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT APPROVED VIA RESOLUTION NUMBER 19R-06-116 WITH WAYPOINT CONTRACTING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $27,395.00.
Need:
ACTION IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN COMMISSION AUTHORIZATION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS EXCEEDING TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT PRICE PURSUANT TO SEC. 2-146 OF THE CITY ORDINANCE.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL AND WAYPOINT CONTRACTING, INC. ENTERED INTO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS AT ST. GEORGE PARK IN JUNE 2019. A PART OF THE IMPROVEMENTS COINCIDES WITH THE MISSION OF THE CITY’S PUBLIC ART BOARD TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH PUBLIC ART THROUGH THE CITY.
