Request Action:
The Habitat Safe Neighborhood District Advisory Council has approved a District tax levy in the amount of $125 and 1 mils.
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
The community is recommending this levy to continue projects identified in the Habiat II Comprehensive Plan to improve the safety and security of the community. To reappoint members to Council.
The Safe Neighborhood Districts were created to provide a more secure community for our residents. The Habitat Safe Neighborhood District was created in 2011 by the City. Residents in Habitat voted, by referendum, to create the districts and levy taxes to collect funds to make their neighborhoods safer.
Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
The assessment will be collected by the district in the approximate amount of $70,619.
