Request Action:
Pass a resolution accepting the bid from Cacique Utilities in the amount of $316,988.60 for the water main upgrade on Lime Hill Road (area of Honey Suckle Terrace at the NW corner of Lime Hill Road and Inverrary Blvd).
Need:
To increase the size and upgrade the type of the water main on Lime Hill Road. The improvements will provide a looped water main, increase pressure and enhance fire protection.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
This project will improve water service to residents on Lime Hill Road. The water mains in this subdivision are all asbestos-cement pipe which are old and prone to breakage. Replacement of the mains using ductile iron pipe will reduce the resources spent each year on maintenance and improve the reliability of service to the residents. The upgrade will also help to increase pressure and fire flows.
