Request Action:
Adopt a Resolution to remove Ashley Roach from the Young Professional Advisory Board (YPAB) due to lack of attendance at successive board meetings, in violation of the Code of Ordinances
Need Summary Explanation/ Background:
To ensure a quorum, board members must attend meetings. The YPAB staff liaison has reported that Ashley Roache has missed three (3) consecutive meetings (and a total of four within the last year).
Code of Ordinances Sec. 2-3. Same-Removal of members for cause.

(2) Failure of any member to attend three (3) consecutive regular meetings or a total of four (4) or more regular meetings during any twelve-month year commencing April through March of each year. In that event, such member shall submit his or her resignation or notice of such absence shall be provided the city council who shall remove such member by adoption of a resolution and promptly fill the vacancy created by said resignation or removal.
According to attendance records from the staff liaison for the YPAB Ms. Roache confirmed her attendance but then was absent from three consecutive meetings meets the criteria for removal, per Sec. 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances.
