A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER TO WAYPOINT CONTRACTING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW 4” SLAB AT THE WINDERMERE BASKETBALL COURT NOT TO EXCEED $59,524.00.
Need:
THIS CHANGE ORDER IS NEEDED DUE TO THE CURRENT SLAP BEING CRACKED AND THE IMPROPER THICKNESS.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
DURING THE RENOVATION OF THE BASKETBALL COURT AT WINDERMERE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT EXISTING CONCRETE SLAP WAS 2” THICK GRADE INSTEAD OF THE REQUIRED 4” THICK GRADE AND THE EXISTING SLAB HAS NO REINFORCEMENT AND IS ONLY CONCRETE POURED. IT IS THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO DEMOLISH THE ENTIRE EXISTING SLAP AND INSTALL A NEW CONNECTED 4” SLAB TO ENSURE THE CONSTRUCTION IS TO CODE AND IS CONSTRUCTED TO LAST.
