Request Action:
A resolution approving the purchase of lift station pumps in the amount not to exceed $110,000.00 from the previously approved sole source vendor, Sanders Company, Inc.

Why is there a need for this action?
A lift station is specifically designed for the pumping of waste water or sewage through the sewer system. These pumps within the lift stations are a key component of transferring wastewater to Broward County wastewater facility.

The replacement of several lift station pumps are needed to keep the lift stations operational throughout the City in order to move waste water through the sewer system. The existing lift station pumps are past their life expectancy; they are demonstrating wear and tear; consequently, replacement is needed.
