State the action requested of the Commission and why the action is necessary. What is the expected outcome of the action?
A resolution is requested from the city commission to approve the award of the bid to jet vac in response to bid 2024-017 for the purchase of a sewer vacuum truck not to exceed $558.868.34.
Need:
Why is there a need for this action?
The existing Utilities Jet Vac truck unit 667 has met its life expectancy and is in need to be replaced in order to accommodate the daily operations of the Utilities Department. This equipment will provide efficient and effective service for City of Lauderhill Residents when emergencies or other urgent situations arise due to unforeseen circumstances within the water distribution and waste water collection divisions.

This equipment is designed to pump and transport wastewater in sewer collection system in an effort to minimize sanitary sewer overflows during emergency situations, assist with the daily operations and maintenance of lift stations, gravity sewer main cleaning/inspection, and sanitary manholes with the wastewater system.
