RESOLUTION NO. 19R-08-150: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF JULIE BROWN BY THE CITY MANAGER TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE CONFIDENTIAL & MANAGERIAL (SENIOR MANAGEMENT) PENSION BOARD FOR A FOUR (4) YEAR TERM; (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, CHARLES FARANDA).

Request Action:

Adopt a Resolution to appoint a Board member by the City Manager to serve a four (4) year term.

 

Need:

Necessary to fill vacant positions on the Confidential & Managerial (Senior Management) Pension Board to be appointed by the City Commission as a Whole and the City Manager.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

One term has expired on the Lauderhill Confidential & Managerial Pension Board leaving a vacant position available.  The position is to be appointed by the City Manager for a four (4) year term.  Julie Brown previously served as the City Manager's appointment and has verbally expressed an interest in continuing to serve on the Board.  The City Manager has advised that he wishes to re-appont Ms. Brown to serve as his Board Member to the Confidential & Managerial Pension Board for the four (4) year term expiring August 2023.
