Request Action:

Adopt a Resolution to remove Apryl Freeman as Vice Mayor Sarai “Ray” Martin’s appointment to the Educational Advisory Board and appoint Tiffany McLeod to the vacated seat.

 

Need:

To ensure a quorum, board members need to attend meetings. The Educational Advisory Board has reported that Apryl Freeman has missed several meetings and/or been unavailable to confirm attendance, thus leading to meeting cancellations due to lack of quorum.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

Ms. Freeman has missed several meetings and/or been unavailable to confirm attendance, thus leading to meeting cancellations for the Educational Advisory Board, due to lack of quorum. As Vice Mayor Martin’s appointment, the Vice Mayor was advised of such and informed that Ms. Freeman would be eligible to be removed from the board as permitted in Code of Ordinances Sec. 2-3(b)(2).
