RESOLUTION NO. 19R-10-222: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL APPROVING THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA REGARDING THE ASSIGNMENTS AT THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS; PROVIDING FOR THE ASSIGNMENT OF FOUR (4) SROS FOR TEN (10) MONTHS DURING THE REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR THE TERM RUNNING AUGUST 14, 2019 AND ENDING JUNE 3, 2020; PROVIDING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND FEES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, CHARLES FARANDA).

Request Action:
Pass a Resolution approving the School Resource Agreement between the School Board of Broward County and the City of Lauderhill regardign the assignment of four (4) SROs at participating schools for the regular 2019-2020 school year.
Need:
To approve the negotiated School Resource Agreement for the regular school year.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Pass a Resolution to approve the negotiated School Resource Agreement whereby the City of Lauderhill agrees to assign four (4) SRO's in four (4) of the participating schools for 10 months during the regular 2019-2020 school year. The School Board will reimburse the City in the amount of $5,460.00 each per SRO per month.
