Need
The resolution is necessary to accept federal grant award to be entitled to reimbursements.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
This federal grant provides reimbursements for costs associated with communities response to and recovery from major disasters or emergencies and for limited mitigation measures relating to Hurricane Nicole. The funds are from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) service as the pass-through entity. The City of Lauderhill is required to provide a 50% match.
