Request Action:
A resolution is requesting the City Commission to utilize GL Distributors Inc. which is the local distributor of GH Armor Systems for law enforcement body armor under the State of Florida contract #46151500-NASPO-21-ACS (NASPO Master Agreement #164713). GH Armor is one of the authorized contractors used pursuant to the State of Florida NASPO Contract and GL Distributors, Inc. is the sole local distributor for GH Armor. We are requesting funds to be approved from the capital budget code 305-321-06512 to purchase rifle plates from GL Distributors. The projected amount is not to exceed $155,000. We are requesting to purchase rifle plates for the protection and safety of the officers.
Need:
Currently, the Lauderhill Police Department is using GL Distributors for the GH Armor System and would like to continue utilizing this vendor by piggy backing off of the State of Florida NASPO Contract.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The funds that are requested is being used for equipment that are protective and providing safety for each officer of the police department. The total needed is not to exceed $155,000.
