A Resolution approving the Agreement is required by State.

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The City of Lauderhill applied for grant funds to rehabilitate the Pier located within Wolk Park.  The State of Florida Department Environmental Protection Agency approved the Land Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) application that will provide a total of $25,000 in grant funds and an additional $25,000 from the City as matching funds. LWCF are Federal funds passed through to the State of Florida DEP to be offered as competitive funding resource to cities and counties within the State of Florida. The Pier was originally constructed using LWCF funds to remain in perpetuity for the enjoyment of the community and these awarded funds will provide the necessary refurbishment of the pier.
