Request Action:
To establish the Senior Utility Rebate Program, to be funded by the City's share of proceeds from PFAS litigation settlements. The purpose of this would be to provide financial relief to senior residents by issuing rebates on their utility bills, funded by proceeds recovered from PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) litigation settlements. The program recognizes the disproportionate impact of environmental contamination and the need for equitable distribution of remediation funds.
