RESOLUTION NO. 21R-07-142: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL APPROVING AN INTERFUND BUDGET TRANSFER IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $600,000.00 TO THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (CRA) TO COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE 1 OF THE CRA INFILL HOUSING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR TRANSFERS AND PAYMENT FROM VARIOUS BUDGET CODE NUMBERS; PROVIDING THAT THE CRA WILL PAY THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL BACK AFTER THE COMPLETION OF PHASE 2 OF THE CRA INFILL HOUSING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, DESORAE GILES-SMITH).

Request Action:
Pass a Resolution to approve an interfund transfer in the amount of $600,000 from the City of Lauderhill to the CRA to complete the construction of Pahse 1 of the CRA Infill Housing Program. Providing that the CRA will pay the City back the full amount after the completion of Phase 2.
Need:
To provide needed funding to complete Phase 1 of the CRA Infill Housing Program
Summary Explanation/ Background:
Phase I of the CRA Infill Housing Program has required a change order and needs additional funds for completion. The City of Lauderhill would authorize an interfund transfer in the amount of $600,000 to the CRA for the completion of Phase 1 of the Infill Housing Program. Then the CRA will pay the City of Lauderhill back the $600,000 once Phase 2 of the program is completed.
