Request Action:

Approve an Ordinance amending the General Employee Pension Ordinance to be consistent with recent changes made to normal service retirement eligibility for members of all tiers.

 

Need:

To approve an amendment to the GE Pension DROP Plan.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

Ordinance 19O-03-102 was recently passed which changed normal service retirement eligibility for members of all tiers.  As a result, the General Employee Pension Plan needs to be amended to revise the deferred retirement option plan ("DROP") eligibility resulting from changes to the normal service retirement eligibility found in Ordinance 19O-03-102.
