Request Action:

Commission approval of the granting of an ingress/egress easement for a fence installation and maintenance on the City's property along State Road 7 located in front of 1700 N.W. 40 Avenue.

 

Need:

The owner, GOV Ft Lauderdale, LLC f/k/a RP Ft. Lauderdale, LLC. wishes to increase security at their location at 1700 N.W. 40 Avenue.  They want to put up a perimeter security fence but it must be erected on the City property, folio number 494231250070.  The fence needs to be on the City's property.  This provides an ingress/egress easement to allow for installation and maintenance of the fence.

 

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The owner requires additional security for the facility. The vehicle queuing from State Road 7 makes the location of the gate/fence important to ensure traffic safety.  The owner, GOV Ft. Lauderdale LLC f/k/a RP Ft. Lauderdale, LLC. will be solely responsible for designing, constructing and maintaining the described premises and repair, install, modify, improve, upgrade, operate or utilize the gate and fence.  The City will be under no obligation to replace or reinstall the gate/fence if improvements are needed or the city ever needs to remove or access its own property.
