Pass a Resolution to approve and accept the 2026-2027 Agreement between the State of Florida Department of Legal Affairs Office of the Attorney General and the City of Lauderhill Police Department; Approving and accepting the 2026-2027 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant Award which authorized reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $159,412.00 for costs associated with the City’s victim services program; Providing Terms and Conditions; Providing for an effective Date.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
This Resolution is to approve and accept the 2026-2027 Agreement between the State of Florida Department of Legal Affairs Office of the Attorney General and the City of Lauderhill Police Department; which provides for the 2026-2027 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant Award which authorized reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $159,412.00 for costs associated with the City’s victim services program that will be available to provide direct services to victims of crimes. Approving retroactively any signatures that were required to meet the grant submittal deadlines. There is no match requirement.
