RESOLUTION NO. 20R-03-66: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERHILL APPOINTING VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE LAUDERHILL COMMUNITY AND BUDGET ADVISORY BOARD BY THE CITY COMMISSION AS A WHOLE FOR THE REMAINDER OF A ONE (1) YEAR TERM EXPIRING JULY 2020; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY INTERIM CITY MANAGER, DESORAE GILES-SMITH).

Request Action:
Adopt a Resolution appointing individuals to fill vacant positions for each geographic area as members of the Lauderhill Community and Budget Advisory Board for the remainder of one (1) year term, expiring July 2020.
Need:
To fill vacant terms on the Lauderhill Community and Budget Advisory Board.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
At their meeting on November 20, 2019, the Community and Budget Advisory Board discussed the difficulty in establishing a quorum for their meetings and the need to fill the vacant seats. It was discussed and approved by the board to suggest allowing individuals from already represented areas to be appointed to the vacancies if no other application was received.
The board currently has vacancies in geographic areas 2, 4, and 5. The following individuals, residing in the listed geographic areas, have expressed interest in serving on the board:
