RESOLUTION NO. 23R-06-160: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE HUMANA GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN FOR THE ONE (1) YEAR TERM BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2023 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 TO INCLUDE HMO AND POS COVERAGE PLANS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE (REQUESTED BY CITY MANAGER, DESORAE GILES-SMITH).

Request Action:

Request the approval of the renewal submitted by Humana for Group Health Insurance to include HMO and POS coverage plans.  This agreement covers the contract year October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.

 

Need:

To provide health insurance benefits to eligible employees.

The 8.4% increase in premium represents $682,044 per year increase resulting in a total annual premium of $8,885,924.
