Request Action:

A resolution is requested from the City Commission to approve the City of Lauderhill’s Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER).

Need:

Commission approval is required prior to the submittal to satisfy the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations for Participating Jurisdictions receiving federal funding.

Summary Explanation/ Background:

The CAPER is an evaluation of performance report of the City’s approved Fifth Year Action Plan. It provides detailed accomplishments made towards meeting the goals outlined in the Five (5) Year Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program administered by the City.

Approved projects for FY 2019-2020 included public service, neighborhood facilities improvements, economic development, and program administration. Additionally, the City continued to make critical improvements to public facilities and park amenities as necessary. Funding utilized during this fiscal targeted and benefited low- and moderate income persons. The City’s efforts were consistent with the national objective of the CDBG program.
