Request Action:
Approve a Reciprocal Fueling Station Usage Agreement between the City of Lauderhill and the City of Sunrise for mutual benefit of each city.

Need:
To make the refueling of emergency/city vehicles more economic and efficient.

Summary Explanation/ Background:
The City of Sunrise approached the City of Lauderhill regarding the possibility of each city sharing its fueling stations with the neighboring city in order to make the refueling of emergency vehicles more efficient at closer locations. Each city recognizes the mutual benefits to be derived from this arrangement. It is sound public policy for each city to ensure that is vehicles are ready for operations for the maximum amount of time possible without being taken out of service for longer than necessary to refuel.

Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
Each city will pay the other city for its own usage of the actual amount consumed/used based upon the dollar cost average for fuel for the month in which the fueling occurred.
