Request Action: The Lauderhill Police Department requests approval from the City Commission to piggyback from the FDLE contract #ITN 1531 for the purchase of LiveScan Equipment and Software from Biometrics4All.
Need:
The contract will enable the city to purchase LiveScan Equipment and Software which will be used for pre-employment fingerprint processing of applicants.
Summary Explanation/ Background:
The FDLE awarded their LiveScan Equipment and Software to Biometrics4all. The FDLE contract is valid from December 2015 - December 2018, the contract allows for the practice of “piggybacking”, wherein cities may utilize the same pricing, terms and conditions.

Cost Summary/ Fiscal Impact:
It is recommended that the Commission approves the use of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement contract for the purchase of LiveScan Equipment and Software from Biometric4all at a cost not to exceed $15,000.00. Payment will be provided from the appropriate budget code.
